Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM to maintain a peaceful environment for all guests.
All cabins are smoke-free. Smoking or vaping is permitted only in designated outdoor areas and NEVER within 20 feet of a cabin or of Chimney Commons area.
Only registered guests may stay overnight. Day visitors must be approved in advance for safety and insurance purposes.
Whimsy Waypoint is designed for relaxation and connection. Large parties, loud gatherings, or events are not permitted without prior approval. Groups that reserve our WHOLE resort will be allowed to have safe parties after notifying us of such events.
No. For the safety of all guests and the property, these activities and items are not permitted anywhere on site. Weapons used for personal safety ARE allowed, as long as they are not discharged unless needed for a personal safety situation or incident. NO target shooting is allowed by Guests at Whimsy Waypoint.
Check-in is at 3:00 p.m. and check-out is at 11:00 a.m. Early check-in and late check-out may be available upon request. We are happy to provide Free 1 hr early or late Check-in/Check-out(only upon request/availability). Early check-in more than one hour is available for a flat cost of $35 and will apply for any time no earlier than Noon-2 pm on the day of arrival. Late Check-out will apply at the same rate-$35- for any check-out at a time of 1 pm-2 pm(when available). Contact us for details and to make your request.
Yes! Campfires are allowed in our designated fire pits/areas or at the Chimney Commons fireplace..
Please be aware that during high winds and drought season, fire bans may be in effect in our county. We will notify you if those fire bans are in effect prior to your arrival. Thank you for understanding.
Each cabin is thoughtfully themed. Please do not remove décor or props and treat all furnishings with care.
Accidents happen. Please notify us as soon as possible so we can address the issue. Guests may be responsible for damages beyond normal wear. We do require a $50 damage waiver(paid by guest at time of booking), which covers incidental damages accidentally incurred during your stay, providing peace of mind that you won’t be hit with a large damage bill. The damage waiver covers damages up to $150 (only if we are notified by guest of such damage). Any damage costs beyond this amount will be charged to the guest on record who booked the cabin. Damages we find at cleaning time(without being notified by guest of them) will be charged to the guest who booked the cabin.
Yes! Whimsy Waypoint is proudly pet-welcoming for dogs.
Pets ALLOWED for a fee($65/stay to be charged to guest above nightly rate)- you must let us know you are bringing your pet when you book. Guest must clean up all fur from furniture and bedding(pets are NOT allowed on the furniture/beds or in our loft areas), and you must clean up any waste/dispose of in trash-bring bags. Animals left in the units MUST be crated for a short period of time. 2 dogs maximum. NO Cats and dog Breeds deemed to be aggressive.
Yes. Pets must be leashed or under full voice control if off-leash when outside cabins, unless in designated off-leash areas.
Short periods are fine, but pets should not be left unattended for extended times. Excessive noise or distress may require intervention.
Guests are responsible for any damage caused by their pets. If a pet becomes disruptive, we’ll work with you to find a solution.
Emotional Support Animals(ESA) are allowed though the regular pet fee will apply and all pet rules will apply to the ESA.
Service dogs are allowed as long as your dog is Required DUE to a disability and has been trained to do a specific service/task for you. You will be required to provide this information to us prior to booking. No fee. Service dogs or pets may not be left alone in the units or tied up outside.

Yes, we have cameras placed in locations covering the main drive, the Commons area, and each drive going to each cabin. NONE are aimed or placed into private areas or at soaking tub areas. Trail cameras may also be present.

At this time Whimsy Waypoint is NOT ADA/Wheelchair accessible. As we move forward we do plan on adding units that are. Thank you.
While we can not publish actual rates for a nights stay, as of yet, we anticipate rates to start at $225/night with a 2 night minimum for our smallest units going up based on unit size/sleep count. Other factors that will act to effect rates may be the season(time of year), holidays, actual demand, and popular local events.
